The study evaluates objective patient outcomes in the nation’s 5,000 hospitals. McBride Orthopedic Hospital received HealthGrades Specialty Excellence Awards for Orthopedic Surgery and Joint Replacement for 2010. This is the third consecutive year McBride has received the award fro Orthopedic Surgery. The studied also shows that if all hospitals performed at a five-star level, more than 100,000 in-hospital orthopedic complication may have been avoided among Medicare patients over the past three years.
